Handover gaps

Part of important operational context is lost during handovers between shifts or people.

Loss of execution visibility

After the shift starts, it becomes harder to see what's going according to plan and where risk is accumulating.

How Project 4.0 organizes the execution flow

The platform structures the shift through handover surveys (7 trigger types — at shift start/end, daily, weekly, monthly, one-time, on task completion), 5-component risk score per employee and proactive alerts on deviations. Managers receive an automatic daily report, weekly digest with trends and monthly review with KPIs.

Practical value

  • Survey-based handovers — rating, supervisor review, correction
  • Risk score — 5 factors show which employees need attention during the shift: delays, incomplete tasks, quality drops
  • Proactive alerts — 26 Cloud Functions for escalations and anomalies
  • Three digest levels — daily (08:00), weekly and monthly with AI analysis

5 attendance reporting methods

Project 4.0 supports multiple methods for registering shift start and end — suited for different environments and conditions:

📱 QR code

Scan a QR code at the site — fast, no additional hardware. Projects are marked with unique QR codes from the activity catalog.

📡 NFC chip

NFC check-in/check-out — suited for environments requiring a higher degree of identification security.

📍 GPS geofencing

Automatic registration on entering/leaving the site zone. Suited for construction sites and logistics bases.

✋ Manual check-in

Directly from the mobile app — for situations where QR/NFC/GPS is unavailable or impractical.

🤖 AI Assistant

Via voice or text to the chatbot: "I've arrived at the Business Park site" — the system registers automatically.

Before and after: night shift at a manufacturing site

The handover between day and night shift is a critical moment. Here's how it looks with and without a structured system:

❌ Without Project 4.0

  • Day shift leaves a note on paper
  • Night shift misses 2 of 5 points
  • Manager finds out about the gap the next day
  • No handover rating — no visibility
  • Result: lost context and reactive management

✅ With Project 4.0

  • Day shift completes a handover survey (trigger: shift end)
  • Night shift receives rating + attention points
  • Manager sees the score in real time + AI alert on low rating
  • Proactive notification on deviation: late arrival, missed check-in
  • Result: uninterrupted information flow

Automatic daily report

Every morning at 08:00 managers receive an automatically generated daily report summarizing:

  • Attendance — who was on site, how many hours, from when to when
  • Deviations — late arrivals, early departures, missed check-in/out
  • Completed tasks — what was done, by whom, with what % progress
  • Risk score — employees with worsened scores for the day
  • AI insights — trends extracted from chat communication

The weekly digest adds trends and comparison with previous periods. The monthly review includes a KPI table and AI analysis of the operational rhythm.
